Meira GTx are a clinical stage gene therapy company, focused on developing potential curative treatments for patients living with serious diseases.
As part of its continuing expansion programme, the company is opening a new research and manufacturing facility in Shannon, Ireland.
The practice has been retained to provide architectural services on the 94,000sqft complex, where two buildings nearing completion are being fitted out to manufacture viral vector for gene therapies and the plasma DNA that is one of the starting materials in viral vector production.
The practice is working closely with laboratory specialists, to ensure effective coordination of their production ‘pods’ into the existing structures, as well as developing proposals for supporting office and warehouse facilities.
