Emergency Medical Ward, Antrim Area Hospital

This Emergency Department has been deisgned and procured to meet a Fast Track Programme and will cater for 90,000 attendees per year with 27 treatment /assessment rooms, 5 bay resuscitation rooms and associated 18 bed assessment unit.

The department will be fully integrated and linked to the existing hospital and has also been designed to meet current standards with separated minor and major/ adult and paediatric patient flows. It includes new X-ray rooms and a CT scanner unit. The project incorporates a new 24 bed medical ward located above the new emergency department, designed with 100% single bedrooms.
