Residential led mixed use development, Bromley High Street, London
Bromley, the southeasternmost borough of London, has become an increasingly popular location for people to live, with the town centre itself having undergone considerable regeneration over the past few years.
This urban infill proposal, combining c. 60 apartments and ground floor retail / commercial uses, lies on the High Street and includes existing buildings on the street frontage, linked to new build proposals sitting on lands behind, with the layout designed around the creation of new landscaped courtyards between the two.
The form and massing of the new buildings combines elements of varying height, ‘bookended’ by two taller forms.
The material palette includes floor – ceiling glazed screens framed in red brickwork with stone banding, picking up themes identified in the surrounding urban environment.
