Marlin Hotel, Waterloo, London

The Marlin is a 218 bedroom Aparthotel, fantastically located on Westminster Bridge Road, not far from Waterloo train station.

The practice was appointed by contractor McAleer & Rushe to complete the detail design and delivery of the scheme from RIBA Stage 4.

Complexities included a two storey basement (accommodating offices and meeting rooms), construction directly adjacent to two listed buildings and the proximity of the National Rail lines into Waterloo station at the rear of the site.

The practice’s remit extended into working closely with the interior designers to establish an appropriate “look and feel” for both restaurant / bar / reception spaces and the bedrooms, with this being the first new hotel brought forward by the Marlin Group.

The scheme was completed on programme and on budget.
