Brinell Building, Brighton
The Brinell Building is located in Brighton, in close proximity to the city’s main train station.
The 65,000sqft office development was designed on a brownfield site, as a speculative scheme for developer MRP.
The design both maximises the development potential of the site and the lettable area of the building.
It’s carefully articulated form and limited palette of materials (London stock brick and floor to ceiling bronze anodised glazed screens) allow the building to site appropriately in it’s sensitive location on the edge of the Conservation Area.
Environmental sustainability was a core brief requirement with the scheme achieving BREEAM ‘Excellent’ and an EPC rating of ‘A’.
Its success is directly reflected in the building being fully occupied at practical completion, achieving record rental levels for the city.
