Belfast
TODD Architects was established in Belfast by Barrie Todd, working as a sole practitioner, in the challenging climate of the late 1970’s. Over the intervening years we have grown to become the largest locally owned architectural practice in Northern Ireland.
Whilst we carry our work across the UK, Ireland and overseas, our Belfast office still sits at the heart of our organisation and we remain committed to the province and our local clients.
Our studio is located within workspace we refurbished in Titanic House, the former Harland and Wolff headquarters in the Titanic Quarter development, where the practice has been heavily engaged over the past fifteen years.
We employ over fifty professional, technical and support staff within the office and carry expertise across a broad range of sectors.
Our commission base ranges from modest refurbishment and reconfiguration projects, to some of the most critically acclaimed buildings in the province.
We are particularly proud of the contribution we have made to the continuing urban regeneration of Belfast with buildings such as Titanic Belfast, INI’s Headquarters, Belfast Waterfront ICC and most recently Erskine House, HMRC’s new base in Northern Ireland.
We are continually working to improve the quality of our design solutions looking to add value and introduce innovation, as well as improving the quality of our service we offer to clients.
To this end, we have for example invested heavily in Revit software, enabling us to develop intricate and coordinated 3-D BIM models.
Our services extend from architecture into planning, masterplanning, urban design and interior design, where 9in recent years we have developed a particular expertise in workplace design, completing fit-outs for the likes of Liberty IT, Danske and AIB.
