Penny Linton
Penny joined TODD Architects as the Principal of our Dublin studio, literally as the Covid 19 pandemic and resulting lockdown arrived in early 2020. Despite these challenges she has overseen continued strengthening of the Dublin team in response to growth and diversification of the studio’s commission base. In recognition of Penny’s substantial contribution to the Practice she was made an Associate Director in 2023.
Originally from Yorkshire, Penny has spent her architectural career in Dublin primarily working on projects within the private sector, designing, managing and directing, major commissions in the residential and commercial fields, for a wide range of local, national and international clients.
Penny has developed a particular interest in sustainability and low energy design. She is a LEED GA, which provides her with in-depth knowledge of integrating sustainable and environment elements into design, within the technical and financial constraints of the particular commission.
This interest has extended into a linkage with Building Information Modelling (BIM), where working closely with her IT colleagues across the practice, she has been at the forefront of introducing Revit software to the Dublin office.
In her relatively short time with the practice, Penny has demonstrated a quiet authority in the manner in which she manages both schemes and people. She has brought a positive ‘hands-on’ and ‘can-do’ attitude to the studio, that reflects the practices wider culture.
