Belfast International Airport

Belfast International Airport is the largest airport in Northern Ireland. TODD Architects have been involved in various projects for over 40 years including the preparation of the infrastructure and land use masterplan which incorporated both aerodrome and adjacent business park proposals.

Since 1996, TODD Architects have been involved in numerous projects ranging from small feasibility studies and minor works through to larger multi-million pound projects and master plans. A 40-desk check-in hall with associated hold baggage facility was opened in 1998 which facilitated the reconfiguration of the main terminal building to accommodate additional airside retail and seating.

In 2010 Project Phoenix was completed and provided a new link from the check-in hall to the main terminal building as well as new larger passenger screening facility, reconfigured retail and concourse areas.

Currently we are working with the airport to develop a series of masterplan options for short, medium and long-term expansion of the terminal and associated facilities.
