Craigavon Area Hospital, Craigavon
In 2014, TODD Architects secured the appointment for the framework to redevelop most of the Hospital Campus. This Major acute hospital complex appointment includes overall hospital design and masterplan/ development control plan from inception through to completion.
The hospital is a regionally significant acute hospital with an extensive range of departments and services including:
- – Primary Care
- – Ambulatory Care
- – Chronic Disease Management
- – Acute/Intensive Care
Our role has required extensive engagement with clinicians and end users to develop the Masterplan proposal. It is being delivered to suit the new and envisaged vision for delivery of healthcare provision.
The first phase, a new paediatric centre department is now complete. The next phase will be the emergency care department and a suite of associated intensive care services including: imaging theatres, recovery, cardiac and critical care.
All works are being carried out in line with the overall vision for the new development and its model of care in a controlled manner to mitigate any abortive works whilst maintaining and transitioning services on a live hospital site in a phased approach to development.
