To celebrate Bike Week 2022, we’ve put together our top 5 quick tips for promoting low-carbon travel options in the workplace through careful design:

1. Ensure ample bike storage, shower areas and changing facilities are included in workplace design as standard.
   
2. Consider including additional service areas like bike maintenance, bike wash and charging units.
   
3. Reduce available parking provision to encourage alternative travel options.
   
4. Consider alternative storage options where floor space is limited – such as wall rack storage.
   
5. Include suitable storage spaces for all types of bikes i.e. foldable bikes, hybrid
   bikes – even scooters!
